THE PROGRAMS

The programs at the San José de Malambo Orphanage are an effort to offer the attention and strengthening of the values and relationships in society to children and adolescents with violation of their rights and high social risk.

For the implementation of the Comprehensive Care Program, it is required to implement concrete actions that promote the integral development of children and adolescents due to problems presented in the physical, mental and social state.

Children and adolescents entering the Malambo Home come from homes where there is dysfunction in family systems, because the parents or guardians have not fulfilled their duties and responsibilities in their upbringing and development.

They have serious deficiencies in the educational aspect that affects the right to have conditions of opportunity and access to education.

We identified the following needs of the children and adolescents whose rights have been violated and are at high social risk: Special food and nutrition.

Basic, middle, vocational and higher education.
  Physical and emotional attention.
  Personal upbringing.
  Education in values.
  Christian formation.
  Recreation, games, sports, culture.
Orientation on family and community life.
  Adequate housing.
  Female, male and teenage clothes.
Comprehensive care to children and adolescents affected with HIV/Aids.
Attention to Victims of Sexual Abuse.
Care to children and adolescents with disabilities.

The Program for Comprehensive Care to Children and Adolescents of the San José de Malambo Home is based on an axis of their rights. The Program is divided into eight programs: Survival, Development, Protection, Participation, Comprehensive Care to Children with HIV/Aids, Attention to Victims of Sexual Abuse and Management.
